Engineering is a career option that is in great demand in India. Every year lakhs of students give different entrance exams for engineering. Some engineering entrance exams are organized at the national level, some are organized at the state level and some are conducted at the institute level itself. Engineering Entrance Exams 2020-21
Jee main 2021
It is a popular engineering entrance exam in India. Now it is held twice a year – in January and April. Earlier CBSE used to organize it but now NTA does it.
JEE Advanced 2021
After JEE Main, JEE Advanced has to be given. It is held once a year. One gets admission in IITs based on the score achieved in this exam.
It is organized by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani. This is a computer-based test. Admission to BE, Pharma and MSc programs in BITS Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses is done on the basis of this.
VITEEE is organized by Vellore Institute of Technology for admission to its B.Tech programs. This exam happens online.
SRM Institute of Science and Technology organizes SRMZEE for admission to the BTech program offered at its Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani and Delhi-NCR campuses. It will be conducted online for 125 examination centres in India and some exam centres in the Middle East.
The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts this Undergraduate Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET). This is a state-level examination. Based on the marks obtained in it, admission in engineering and medical degree courses in colleges/institutes related to COMEDK.
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneshwar organizes this exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered here.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam 2021
It is a state-level exam conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board. Admissions are made on the basis of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and technology, architecture and pharmacy by colleges in West Bengal.
Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. Based on this, the colleges of the state get admission in engineering and technology programs and pharmacy programs in the first year.
