JEE Main elaborated as Joint Entrance Exam (Main) is a popular exam for Engineering in India. The examination system is handled by the CBSE and is undertaken for the admissions to Bachelor in Engineering (B.E.)/Bachelor in Technology (B.Tech) & Bachelor in Architecture (B.Arch) courses.

JEE Main New Changes Introduced Last year:
Firstly, we would like to introduce the new rules amended in last year for applying in the JEE Main Examination, here are the follow: –
- While calculating the All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main Examination, the authority won’t count the weightage of 12th class marks.
- Also, the students need to compulsorily have the Aadhaar Card for filling and applying the JEE Main exams.
- In addition, the students from locations of Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya are excluded from this provision. Because if they need to get examination center in these states only, they are required to have filled up bank account number, passport number, ration card number or any other valid Govt. identity number.
- For qualifying to get admissions in IIITs, CFTIs, IITs, NITs, the students need to at least score 75% marks and SC/ST students need to have 65% in higher secondary examination.
- Either need to have their name listed in the top 20 percentile from a 12th class examination conducted by respective boards.
JEE Main Application Form 2022 @ jeemain.nic.in
Now coming up to the JEE Main Application forms for 2022, all the students need to carefully get through the brochure and get details regarding how to apply for application forms, application fee & payment mode. The details are as follows: –
- They can fill this application form only through online mode i.e. jeemain.nic.in
- They are expected to release in the December month of 2019 (1st Week)
- To apply for JEE Main, no printed copy will be provided
- You need to have Aadhaar Card registration numbers for applying to JEE Main Application forms
- You need to additionally upload scanned images of your photograph and signature along with academic and personal details.
- For proof, the students have the facility to download acknowledgment page after successfully submitting the application form.

Now coming onto payment mode, the students need to pay credit card/debit card or e-challan. If you opt for the E-Challan option for payment, candidates are required to make payment through ICICI/Syndicate/Canara/HDFC Bank in cash.
JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Here are the following Eligibility criteria shared below: –
- Students with a birth date on or after 1st October 1993 gets eligible for appearing in the JEE Main examination for 2022.
- For SC/ST & PWD candidates, the upper age limit shall be provided for 5 years. (DOB falls on or after 1st October 1988)
- As mentioned in the secondary education board certificate, the Date of Birth will be considered according to that.

- Negative Marking: 1 marks deduction
- Marking Scheme: +4 marks for each correct answer.
- Course: B.E./B.Tech courses.
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics consist in Paper-1
- Number of Question: 360 marks includes 30 questions from each subject, total 90 questions
- Language: Medium Choice English and Hindi (For Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli includes extra Gujarati with these two)
- Duration: 3 hours
For JEE Main Paper 2
- Negative Marking: 1 marks deduction
- Marking Scheme: +4 marks for each correct answer.

- Subjects: Drawing subject will be subjective, Mathematics and Aptitude test will be objective type
- Number of Question: 30 marks for Mathematics Part 1, 50 for Aptitude Test Part 2, and 2 question in Drawing. Total marks 360.

JEE Main Syllabus
The JEE Main Syllabus contains two types of examination for Paper 1 and Paper 2
JEE Main Paper 1 Syllabus: For Paper 1 Syllabus, it contains subjects like Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. These subject’s syllabus is almost same taught in the 11th and 12th standard of ICSE, CBSE, and other boards.
JEE Main Paper 2 Syllabus: For Paper 2, the subjects include an Aptitude test, Mathematics, and Drawing. CBSE will release the whole syllabus and candidates and download its whole file.
JEE Main Admit Card 2022 (Hall Tickets)
According to the reports, the admit card containing exam centre details, candidate’s roll number, exam schedule etc. will be officially released by CBSE on their official website.
After you submit your applications form further the Admit Card for JEE Main 2023 will be provided in the month of March 2022.
JEE Main Result
JEE Main 2023 Result for Paper 1 will be declared only in the online mode in the last week of April 2022. The result will be announced at cbseresults.nic.in for JEE Main Paper 1 on the same day (both online and offline mode). JEE Main 2023 Result for Paper 2 will be announced at the end of May 2019. Download and print multiple copies of the scorecard for future use. Enter your roll number and date of birth to view the JEE Main Scorecard. After the JEE Main Result is announced, CBSE releases All India Rank list which displays the All India Rank obtained by the candidate. JEE Main Scorecard contains the normalized scores of the candidate. CBSE announced that class XII marks will not be considered to calculate the normalized score. JEE Main Cut Off Marks
Cutoff Marks is the minimum score necessary to clear or pass the test. Thus it is important for a candidate to obtain the minimum JEE Main Cut Off Score in order to clear the exam and appear for the next level of the examination which is JEE Advanced 2023.
The Cutoff marks for JEE Main 2023 will be declared by CBSE & IITs along with result at the same time. The JEE Main Cutoff is indicating each candidate eligibility of JEE Advanced 2023 which is a gateway of admission to B.E/B.Tech programmes in IITs. The examination authority will publish the Cut-Off marks in each category wise for JEE Advanced Examination which is scheduled on May 2022.

JEE Main 2023 Registration
The JEE Main 2023 Registration Process will commence soon from December 2020. The registration process will continue till January 2022. Candidates applying for the JEE Main 2023 examination need to apply only through Online mode. Also, the authorities will conduct the Pen and Paper examination on 8th April 2022. Also, the Computer-based Online examination will be conducted in April 2022.
How to Register for JEE Main 2023 Exam
- Applicants have to fill all the required details in the IIT JEE Main Online Application Form.
- Then, applicants have to upload a passport size photo (jpeg format). Also, the candidate has to upload signature and thumb impression with recommended size as specified.
- After the submission of all the particulars, an acknowledgement page with applicant number will appear on the screen. It is important for the applicant to take a print of this acknowledgement page and keep it safe for future reference.
- Finally, the Applicant has to pay the Application Form fee which can be paid in both Online and Offline form.
