About Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
CBSE in full known as Central Board of Secondary Education is a national level education board of India. The board was formed in the year 1962 with headquarters located at New Delhi. JEE Main Result 2023 / Joint Entrance Examination 2020 Result
CBSE conducts JEE Main national level examination every year. JEE is the popular Engineering entrance exam conducted for giving the admission in to the BE/B.Tech and B.Arch courses for all the eligible candidates. Based on the score obtained in the JEE Main, the candidates will be given admission in to the CFTIs, NITs and other institutions of Engineering. JEE Main is also the eligibility test for the JEE Advanced examination which will offer the admission in to the ISM and IITs.
For the year 2020, the CBSE has successfully conducted the JEE Main 2023. The test has been conducted in two different methods or modes i.e., one is pen and paper based test which took place on January last year and other is online compute based test. More than 2 lakh candidates are said to have appeared in this test from all across the country in both the modes of test. JEE Main was conducted in nearly 248 cities in India and in 10 centers in the abroad previous year. Pen & Paper based test took place in 112 centers totally whereas computer based test took place in all 258 cities on 15th and 16th of January last year. JEE Main contains Paper-I and Paper-II. The JEE Main 2023 result for Paper-I and Paper-II is said to be released separately. One would be in the month of April and the other in the month of May 2022. Check the exact result dates below.

JEE Main Rank List 2022
The JEE Main 2023 rank list will be released by the authorities along with the All India Rank, category Rank of the appeared candidates in the exam and the JEE Main result 2022. JEE Main Toppers 2020
CBSE will release the list of JEE Main toppers for the year 2020 soon after the announcement of the jeemain.nic.in result 2022. The maximum marks in the Paper-1 is 360 and in Paper-2 is 390. Last year Kalpit Veerwal has scored the top rank (AIR) in the JEE Main with a score of 360 marks. With a minor difference of the marks the AIR can be changed. JEE Main 2023 Selection Procedure for IITs and Other Institutes
In order get seat in some of the prestigious colleges or institutes through JEE Main score, the engineering candidate have to score a total of 75 percent in class 12 examinations or else the top 20 percentile in the respective class 12 board examinations. The qualifying marks for the SC or ST candidates is 65 percent in the class 12 exams.
Rules of Tie Breaking in JEE Main Paper-1

- For giving the better rank, the highest marks in Mathematics is considered.
- Next highest marks in the subject Physics is considered.

JEE Main Counselling 2022 and Seat Allotment
The counselling for the candidates qualified in the JEE Main 2023 will start soon in the month of June 2022. The counselling and seat allotment will be done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for all the candidates qualified in the JEE Main. The qualified candidates have to register for the counselling process and follow the process accordingly to be eligible for counselling and admission. Based on the merit list, availability of the seats and the filling of the choices, the qualified candidates of the JEE Main 2023 will be allotted a seat in the respective institution and the course.
