The Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) comprises two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments.
JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the Country. From the year 2021, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow and the Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur will be using the score sheet of JEE (Main) for admission to the B.Tech./M.Tech. (Integrated)/B.Arch. Courses in its affiliated colleges across the State.
NTA similarly mentioned the salient features of the JEE Main 2023 as it stated that for the first time the entrance examination was conducted in thirteen languages.
It similarly said that the examination body had made a control room, and detailed country-wide coordinators, 19 local coordinators, 261 special coordinators, and about seven hundred observers who helped in engaging in the JEE Main 2023 easily amid the COVID-19 virus.

Jee Mains Session 2 Total Students
NTA JEE Mains 2022 exam session 2 was conducted from July 25 to 30 for 6,29,778 candidates at different centers located in approximately 500 Cities throughout the country including 17 cities outside India.
The Examination was conducted at 588 examination centers in 407 Cities [including 17 cities outside India in Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos/Abuja, Colombo, Jakarta, Vienna, Moscow, Port Louis, and Bangkok].
A total number of 558 Observers, 424 City-Coordinators, 18 Regional Coordinators, 369 Deputy/Independent Observers, and 02 National Coordinators were deployed at the Examination Centres to oversee the smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
The NTA Scores of Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) have been declared.
The Examination was conducted in 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu).
JEE Main 2023 Registration Statistics
Below is the registration data as per the latest news reports for all four sessions of JEE Mains 2022 examination.
JEE (Main) – 2022 Session 1 for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) will be held from 16 to 21 April 2022 followed by Session 2 from 24 to 29 May 2022. This is being done to ensure that the JEE (Main) – 2022 does not interfere with the Board examinations, which may be held at different times across the States/UTs. Paper 2A and Paper 2B (B.Arch and B. Planning) will also be held twice a year (April and May 2022).
It has been decided to provide choices in one section of each subject of Paper 1 and Part-I of Paper 2A and 2B to cater to the decision of different Boards across the country regarding the reduction of the syllabus. However, the total number of
questions to be attempted will remain the same (Physics – 25, Chemistry – 25, and Mathematics – 25), wherever applicable.

Please tell total how many students appeared for jee mains in both sessions 2022 . With out it we can’t calculate the rank 🙏
Sir/Mam I want to know that how many candidate appear for Jee barch this year.
I hope if a student is appeared in both Sessions, he/ she will be counted as one Student and not twice. Please clarify.
The NTA scores for each of the candidates in Total in B.E./B.Tech for Session 1 as well as for Session 2 of JEE (Main) – 2022 will be merged for compilation of results and preparation of overall Merit List/Ranking.
The best of the two NTA Scores (Total) will be considered for further processing for those candidates who appeared in both sessions.
