About Indian Railway Recruitment 2022 indianrailways.gov.in

This section lists all existing railway recruitment in 2020. All over India, RRB has 17 zones and 71 divisions (under those 17 zones). Each division is managed by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) in Indian Railway.

The 17 RRB zones and their headquarters are listed below.

1. Central Railway (CR) – Mumbai
2. Metro Railway, Kolkata  – Kolkata
3. North Central Railway (NCR) – Allahabad
4. The North Western Railway (NWR) –  Jaipur
5. North Eastern Railway (NER) – Gorakhpur
6. East Coast Railway (ECoR) – Bhubaneswar
7. The East Central Railway (ECR) – Hajipur
8. Eastern Railway (ER) – Kolkata
9. Northern Railway Railway (NR) – Delhi
10. Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) – Guwahati
11. South Central Railway (SCR) – Secunderabad
12. The South East Central Railway (SECR) – Bilaspur
13. South Western Railway (SWR) – Hubli
14. The South Eastern Railway (SER) – Kolkata

Railway recruitment consists of four types of jobs level. Group A, B, C and D.  Group A and Group B post comes under gazetted post and Group C and Group D are the Non-gazetted post. Each post subdivided into the technical and non-technical post.

Indian railway performs railway recruitment Group C and Group D post only. UPSC has authority to fill Group A post by conducting written test and interview.

RRB Group A Post Recruitment:

RRB Group A exams conducted under Engineering Service Exam, Civil Service Exam and Combined Medical Service Examination.

The following vacancy is full fill through the civil services exam:

• Railway Protection Force (RPF).
• Indian Railway Personnel Service.

Similarly, the Combined Engineering Services Exam works on following services:

Along with above services, UPSC also performs Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) Examination. This is the special exam for Mechanical Engineers to recruit mechanical engineers in Indian Railway Service.

RRB Group B Posts Recruitment:

Group B post in Indian railway is not filled through the direct recruitment process. It is the promotion based post. Group C employee from Indian railway scale promoted as Group B officers.

Group C Posts Recruitment for Railway Recruitment Board:

The Group C posts are subdivided into the technical and non-technical post.  Both technical and non-technical railway recruitment is conducted under 19 RRB’s across all over India.

Non-Technical Posts:

Some of the Group C Non-Technical posts are listed below.

Commercial Apprentice, Assistant Station Masters (ASM), Ticket Collectors(TC), traffic apprentice, Trains Clerks, Clerks, Junior account Assistant, Reservation Clerk, Goods Guard, Time Keeper and other.

Technical Posts: 

Mechanical, Electrical, Technical engineers in Signal, Telecommunication, Civil engineers, Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), Technician (ITI courses) and others.

RRB Group D Posts Recruitment:

The last group for railway recruitment is Group D. The group D recruitment is done by RRC and RRB at the divisional level.

Some of the Group D posts in this group are the gunman, peon, tracker, helper, medical helper, Safaiwala, Trackman, gateman, hospital attendance, Portal, sweeper cum portal and others.

RRB Notification 2020 With the Last Date for Online Application Form

2020 is the best time for all job seeker. Railway recruitment board announced more than 2 Lakhs job vacancy in Railway board. RRB vacancy is distributed based on various RRB. Board announced job vacancy for Group D, ALP as well as Technician post.

Post wise Eligibility Criteria for RRB Exam 2021

RRB Exam Eligibility Criteria mainly depends upon Educational qualification, age limit and medical standards (for certain posts). These factors vary as per the post. Candidates who looking to apply for railway recruitment Exams should validate all the essential Eligibility criteria.

Nationality:

• Must be the citizen of India
• It Must be Subject of Nepal
• Must be Subject to Bhutan
• Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to be settled permanently in India
• A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Part 1- RRB Eligibility for Technical Exam.

Part 2- RRB Eligibility for Non-Technical Exam.

Railway Recruitment Eligibility for Technical Exam

For RRB Online Application, the almost for all candidates desired condition is that he/she must hold the Nationality / Citizenship certificate. All applicant who interested in online registration for RRB exams must fulfil the following other eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have completed 10+2 education. Education qualification varies as per post. RRB consist more of demand for ITI holder.  For the group, A vacancy post-graduation or graduation is required. Railway recruitment demanded mechanical and electrical engineers.  12th pass out with physics and mathematics can be applied to some post.

Age Limitation:

The maximum age limit changes depends upon the nature of the work. For group D and Group C post, the different age limit is applicable. But, the minimum age limit is fixed. The minimum age limit is 18 years. So, after completion of 17 years, you can apply for Indian Railway Technical post.

Railway Recruitment Eligibility for Non-Technical Post:

Education qualification for the non-technical post differs from the technical post. The non-technical post consists of ASM, TC, TA and Clerks post. Mostly, this post requires minimum graduation. But, some post like a peon, the sweeper will fill based on the 10^th standard.

Educational Qualification:

So, for non-technical cadre candidate must have completed 10th/ intermediate studies/ bachelor’s degree. Along with education qualification typing proficiency in English/ Hindi also required.
