Who is Eligible for the UP Scholarship?
If you are looking forward to fetching the UP Scholarship program, you should know whether you are fit in the eligibility criteria or not. Of course, one of the major eligibilities that you should have is that you should a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, there are also some other eligibilities that you need to fulfil in order to get the scholarship for your studies.
- If you are applying for the pre-matric scholarship, the annual income of your family should not be more than Rs. 1 Lakh.
- If you are applying for a post-matric scholarship and you belong to the General or OBC category, the annual family income should be within Rs, 2 Lakh. On the other hand, if you belong to the categories of SC, ST, or the minorities, the family annual income should be within Rs. 2.5 Lakhs.
How to Apply for the UP Scholarship?
In order to make the application process for the UP scholarship much convenient for the candidates, the Uttar Pradesh Government has started with an online portal. The candidates can fill the form for scholarship and submit the documents online.
Here are the important steps that you should follow to complete the application.
Step – 1 – Visit the portal https://scholarship.up.gov.in/.
Step – 2 – Here as you click on the tab for Student, you will get the option for Registration that you need to click on.
Step – 3 – Now select the scholarship program for which you wish to apply.
Step – 4 – Fill in all the spaces with the right information and submit the form.
Step – 5 – After the registration is done, get a print out of the screen.
Step – 1 – On the same portal of scholarship.up.gov.in and under the Student tab, you will have to click on Login this time.
Step – 2 – You have to log in with the help of your registration number, birth date, and the password that you have generated.
Step 3 – Go through all the details and then proceed by ticking on the box provided at the bottom of the page.
The Scholarship Application:
Step – 1 – After you log in and click on to proceed, a new dashboard will appear in front of you. Here, you have to click on the section of ‘fill in application form’.
Step – 2 – Provide all the details in the form very carefully and double-check.
Step – 3 – Submit this online application form after checking properly.
After you have submitted the application form, you will get the option to upload the required documents such as your photograph and other certificates. Here are the documents that you need to submit.
- Proof of your residence
- Certificate of your caste if you belong to a special category
- Certificate of your annual family income
- Student Identity Proof
- Your current exam mark sheet
- The admission letter and fee book of the current year along with your bank statement
