- For admission in Central University of South Bihar, candidates must have passed BA / B.Ed.
- For admission in B.Sc B.Ed, candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with minimum 50% marks.
- For admission in B.A. L.L.B, candidates must have passed 12th with minimum 45% marks.
- To pursue MA and LLM courses, one should have a graduation degree from any recognized institute (in which subject the student is taking admission) with minimum 50% marks.
- For admission in M.Sc., one should have passed graduation in the relevant subject with minimum 55% marks.
- For admission in M.Tech, it is mandatory to have BE / B.Tech / MCA degree with minimum 60 percent marks from a recognized institute or university.

For admission in Central University, students have to first complete the application process. Let the students know that the application process has been started from 16 August 2021. The last date for filling the application form has been fixed as 01 September 2021. Students can complete the application process within the given dates. Presently the university is conducting its administrative and academic activities from temporary campuses at Patna and Gaya in Bihar. It was established under the name Bihar Central University which was later changed to South Bihar Central University.
