HPU BA LLB Honors Admission 2021 Eligibility & Criteria
educational qualification :
- For taking admission in BA LLB Hons, the general category candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with 50% marks and SC and ST candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with 45% marks.
Age Range :
- For admission in BA LLB Honours, General category candidates should not be more than 20 years of age as on 01 July 2021. With this the age limit is 22 years for reserved category candidates and 27 years for PH candidates.
- A maximum relaxation of 6 months can be provided by the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
BA LLB Honors Course
BA LLB Honors course is 5 years. Under this course, there will be 10 semesters in which the candidate will have to give 60 papers. Each paper will be of 100 marks in which 70 marks will be given through examination and 30 marks will be given through practical.

The candidates who will participate in the HPU BA LLB Honors course in the application process will be shortlisted and merit list will be prepared by the university. After that the candidates will be called for the interview process and the final merit list will be issued on the basis of their performance in the interview.
If the marks of more than one candidate will be equal, then the candidates will be selected as follows –
- The candidate with higher marks will be given preference by counting the matriculation marks of the candidate.
- Even after this, if the marks of the candidate are found to be equal, then the candidate with older age will be given preference.

Reservation Criteria
- 75% seats for HPU BA LLB Hons are earmarked for candidates from Himachal Pradesh. The remaining 25% seats will be open for all the candidates.
- 15% seats will be reserved for the Scheduled Castes of Himachal Pradesh.
- 7.5% percent seats will be reserved for the Scheduled Tribes of Himachal Pradesh.
- 05% seats will be reserved for PH candidates.
- 2 seats will be reserved for single girl child candidate.
- 2 seats will be reserved for the candidates of Jammu and Kashmir.
